Simple Fresh Green Smoothie

Today was a totally crazy hectic day and if it was not for my liquid meals i don't think i would have gotten any nutrition in me. i of course make it a priority to make my green juice and green smoothies for the kids and i every morning. for lunch i threw together my Garden Blend Soup (which i've posted in previous blogs because it is my go to green soup). Later i made the below quickie smoothie to get some more nutrients into me and the boys drank it with their dinner. mason wanted his mixed with coconut water so i added coconut water to his and blended again.

i know for many starting this way of eating it seems like more work but eventually it is truly soooo much less work because all you do is throw the ingredients into the blender and you are done. yes, most of us moms still have to prepare food for the kids but the liquid meal you put together can be part of their meal and then you just prepare whatever else you plan on serving. then you know they are getting a power meal with the smoothie/soup plus their regular meal.

This simple green smoothie was totally light and refreshing:

1 cup filtered water (or water to desired consistency)
1/2 cucumber
handful spinach
1 apple
1/2 avocado
1 heaping tbsp pure synergy powder
dash of sea salt
*if you want it a little sweeter you can add an orange or a date.
*if you want more protein add a handful of sunflower sprouts

enjoy!!

here are some pics of mason and daddy and some classmates from his school enjoying the baseball game on sunday. yes- he eats like a normal 4 year old sometimes!! mason and joe are the guys on the right.

happy detoxing!! namaste, kelly
