Green Juice / Smoothie Cleanse

hi everyone!! did you see the beautiful snow today? it was brief but fabulous to see. i was walking out of the Playseum in bethesda when i saw the snow flurries!! the boys were sooooo excited!!
if you have not been to the Playseum in bethesda you must go. it is a great place to let kids explore and have fun especially on a cold windy day like today. i was hoping to get the boys out playing tennis again today but the weather did not cooperate.

many of you are doing juice, smoothie and raw food cleanses and i'm right there with you. today is day three of a juice smoothie cleanse for me and i'm going to do three more days. i love the feeling of eating simple and clean. today i did my juice, coconut water detoxify elixir, smoothie and small bowl of blended up fruit in the vitamix- yummy!!- i'm eating it right now!!

woke and drank 16 ounces of spicy lemonade:

16 oz water
juice of 1 lemon
lots of cayenne!!

after yoga i drank 2 16 oz glasses of pear/apple green juice:

pear, apple
sunflower sprouts, alfalfa sprouts
beet greens, bok choy, napa cabbage
kale, chard, romaine
parsley, cilantro
ginger, lemon

around 12:30ish i drank a my "Detoxify Elixir"- i love this!!

1 cup coconut water
1 handful cilantro
3 tbsps chlorella

around 3ish i had a huge green power smoothie:

coconut water
goji berries, blue berries, mango, banana
pure synergy green powder, barley grass powder, wheatgrass powder
blue manna powder, acai, pomegranate powder, camu camu
dulse, ionic minerals, crystal energy

made the kids some frozen fruit ice cream and wanted some for myself too:


For lunch today the kids had this great pasta. i dressed it in hemp oil, nutritional yeast, dulse and dash of sea salt!! they ate this with loads of kale chips.

today they also snacked on almond butter and apples, cantaloupe and owen of course loves his vega bars!! right now they are sipping on their mango, banana, almond milk smoothies and eating their mango, banana, blueberry ice cream.
